Scented Candle THE STAR — Hope & Positive Vision | Wooden Wick
Even after the darkest night, the stars are still there. This candle was made for the moments when you need to remember that. Hibiscus, water lily, and lily of the valley open the blend with a luminous, floral lightness; lavender and sandalwood anchor it in calm and warmth. THE STAR is card number 17 of the Major Arcana, the archetype of hope, renewal, and the quiet certainty that a better chapter is already on its way. Included in the box: one hand-poured soy wax candle in a porcelain container, a Tarot card from the Major Arcana deck, an affirmation ritual card, and a description of the candle’s magical purpose.
The Archetype of THE STAR
In the Tarot, THE STAR appears immediately after The Tower — after the collapse, the clearing. Card 17 of the Major Arcana is the breath of relief, the first light after a long dark. It fills the heart with optimism and the sense that a new period of life is genuinely possible. THE STAR is not naive hope. It is the kind that has been tested and survived. It is the source from which creativity and future vision are drawn. When you look at your guiding star, it asks: do you believe in a better future? What does it look like? What would you like it to be?
Hibiscus
Hibiscus has long been used in magical rituals for love and desire — but its deeper gift is less known. Its aroma stimulates the subconscious, opens pathways to self-knowledge, and can reveal the gift of intuition and premonitory awareness. In the context of THE STAR, hibiscus is the channel: it opens the inner eye so that the vision of your future can come through clearly, not filtered through fear or habit.
Water Lily
The Latin name for water lilies — Nymphaeaceae — comes from the Greek nymphs of lakes and rivers. These flowers carry water and moon energy: tranquility, purity, and spiritual luminosity. Their aroma soothes earthly restlessness and enhances imagination and the ability to visualize goals. In magic rituals, water lily is used to strengthen the mind’s capacity to see and hold a clear picture of what you are moving toward.
Lilac
Lilac has been used in magical tradition to remove illusions and reveal truth. Its cleansing aroma lifts the mood, promotes partnership and common good, and elevates the spirit to a higher perspective. In the STAR blend, lilac does the necessary work of clearing away false beliefs — the ones that say the future cannot be better — so that genuine hope can take root.
Lily of the Valley
Since ancient times, lily of the valley has been associated with fairies, innocence, and spiritual purity. In ritual magic it was used to induce calm, positivity, and clarity of consciousness, and to drive away depressive thoughts while attracting luck. Despite being one of nature’s most potent plants, its fragrance is delicate and luminous — a reminder that the most powerful forces often arrive quietly. In this blend, it carries the energy of spiritual renewal and rebirth.
Lavender
Lavender calms, soothes, and restores. It relieves tension in the body and the mind, reduces aggression, and dissolves envy and jealousy — the emotions that most reliably block hope. Its energy supports self-knowledge and meditation, and restores strength after depletion. In the STAR blend, lavender is the steady ground beneath the vision: it keeps the optimism embodied and real rather than floating away into fantasy.
Sandalwood
Sandalwood harmonizes and calms. Sacred to Eastern cultures for millennia, it is believed to attract divine presence and is burned during meditation and used to build temples. Its aroma lifts the mood of those caught in depression, fear, or anxiety, and helps in moments of nervous breakdown or overwhelm. In this blend, sandalwood is the anchor of THE STAR — the deep, warm base that holds the entire fragrance together and keeps the experience grounded in the body.
How and When to Use
Light this candle when you need to reconnect with hope — after a difficult period, when the future feels unclear, or when you want to set a clear intention for what you are building next. Read the included affirmation card before lighting. Let the candle burn for at least 2 hours on first use to allow an even wax pool. Use the included Tarot card as a reflection prompt: what does your guiding star look like right now, and what is it asking you to move toward?
